《Japan Japanese ethics Masterpiece
Directed by: Tetsuya Takedō
Synopsis:
The Kijima family makes a living by running an izakaya. Suddenly, the son-in-law A-Chung who married into the family passes away. After completing her husband's mourning period of forty-nine days, his wife Enko finally breathes a sigh of relief. However, her adulterous partner Yoshiyuki, with whom she had a one-night affair five years ago due to her dissatisfaction with her husband’s lack of intimacy, suddenly shows up. On the other hand, the eldest son feels strangely excited about his wife Miwako's mourning attire, and they disregard the custom of not engaging in intimate contact within the forty-nine days, continuing to enjoy their conjugal bliss. Observing such debauchery, the younger daughter Wakako boldly steals A-Chung's urn, revealing that she had secretly fallen in love with her brother-in-law A-Chung.
