Intro Turner (played by Halle Berry) is a 911 call center operator. One day, she receives a call from a young girl claiming that a stranger has broken into her home. Turner immediately tells her to hide, but the call suddenly disconnects. In her panic, Turner calls back, inadvertently revealing the girl's hiding place, which leads to the girl being killed by the intruder. From that moment on, Turner is plunged into a deep abyss of guilt and can no longer work as an operator. Six months later, Turner becomes a call center instructor. One day, a novice takes a call from a girl, Casey (played by Abigail Breslin), who is trapped in a car trunk by kidnappers, and the situation is dire. After investigating, Turner discovers that the criminal is the same person who killed the young girl years ago. Fueled by outrage and a desire for atonement, she resolves to personally bring the perpetrator to justice. A thrilling phone chase is about to unfold, but unexpectedly, a long-hidden secret begins to come to light...
